The first day of our mobility in Lithuania was dedicated to exploring the historic centre of Vilnius and experiencing how culture, heritage and storytelling shape the identity of a city. The participants of the Youth-ful-Guides<\/strong> project had the opportunity to walk through some of the most emblematic locations of the Lithuanian capital, gaining inspiration for the role that young guides can play in presenting local heritage. \ud83c\udfdb\ufe0f\u2728<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our journey began at Vilnius Cathedral \u26ea<\/strong>, one of the most important landmarks of the country. Inside the cathedral we visited the impressive Chapel of Saint Casimir<\/strong>, where the relics of Lithuania\u2019s patron saint are preserved, highlighting the spiritual and historical importance of this monument.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group then continued to Gediminas Castle Tower \ud83c\udff0<\/strong>, one of the symbols of Vilnius. From the top of the hill, participants enjoyed a panoramic view of the city and learned about the origins and historical development of the Lithuanian capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walking through the picturesque streets of the Old Town \ud83c\udfd8\ufe0f<\/strong>, participants explored the historic routes that reveal the multicultural character and architectural beauty of Vilnius. One of the highlights of the day was the visit to St. Anne\u2019s Church \u26ea<\/strong>, a remarkable example of Gothic architecture and one of the most recognizable monuments of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exploration also included Literat\u0173 Street \ud83d\udcdc<\/strong>, a unique open-air gallery dedicated to writers connected to Vilnius and its literary heritage. The day concluded with a visit to Vilnius University \ud83c\udf93<\/strong>, one of the oldest universities in Eastern Europe and an important centre of intellectual and cultural life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a day full of discoveries, inspiration and shared experiences, offering participants a deeper understanding of how cultural heritage can be interpreted and presented by young guides. \ud83c\udf0d\ud83e\udd1d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
